GET INVOLVED IN OUR CAUSE
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Without volunteers we could not provide our community with the extensive services and programs we currently offer.
Volunteers provide essential assistance in the administration of each department division, serve on committess, work with staff to meet the needs of our members and participants, and provide many other valuable contributions to the organization.
Our YMCA offers year-round volunteer opportunities for members and non-members from the community and surrounding areas to give back and help build a better community within our Y. Opportunities range throughout the year and are based upon need within a program or department.
READY TO GET STARTED?
To volunteer, apply to one of our designated outreach programs below, or contact our Engagement Coordinator, Stacy Serrault, about finding a Y program you are passionate in to volunteer. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org or 785.404.4022.
Youth Sports Coach
Volunteering to be a coach not only provides the chance to be a positive influence on kids, but it also helps you to get involved and connect with your community. We will train volunteer coaches, so no experience is needed. It’s a productive way to use your leadership skills by helping kids meet their potential.

Grab N' Go Volunteer
This school year, the Y will provide groceries to hundreds of children in the Salina community through our Grab N' Go Food Program. This program would not be possible without volunteers. Sign up now to help sort and hand out groceries for the program!
Volunteers are needed to unload, sort, distribute groceries and clean up on Fridays from 9:00 am-7:00 pm through August, 2021. (During Thanksgiving and Christmas, there will be some Tuesday pickup dates)
Give support, assistance, and encouragement to our Y's Kids After School program children in grades K-6 who need a little extra help with their homework.
For more information, contact Wendy Holtz, School Age Coordinator, at email@example.com or 785.404.4037.
Serving on the Salina Family YMCA Board of Directors is a wonderful way to support a cause that you care about. But it also can be a powerful way to build your own skills and expertise.
Individuals who serve on a board have the opportunity to develop and grow as leaders, cultivate new skill sets, and expand their network of peers, professionals, community leaders, and community thought leaders.
