4th Annual One Step Forward Community Service Program
April 1-30, 2019
One step forward happens during National Volunteer Month. It is a collaboration between Salina Family YMCA and the Salina Rescue Mission for the collections of new socks and foot care products to its residents. This year we are looking at expanding the program into the community, If there are any businesses, schools, churches, individuals that would be willing to help by:
Setting up a collection box in their area/business/school/church
Donating socks or foot care products
Raising money to purchase socks or foot care products
Donating a Brannock Device for measuring feet
Help deliver all products to the Y who will catalog the number of items
Participate in delivering all items to the Salina Rescue Mission
Donations Needed: Socks, Toe Nail Clippers, Athlete’s Foot Cream, Foot Odor Products, Compression Socks, Corn Remover, callus removers, Blister Band-Aids/, Second Skin, Shoe Horns. Please consider making a donation today!
FUN SOCK FRIDAYS Join our staff as we wear fun socks. Post a picture on Facebook in your fun socks to be entered to win a prize. Drawing Monday, April 29.

All Kansas YMCA Associations in May will challenge their members & staff to walk across the state of Kansas from YMCA to YMCA for a total of 1,001 miles. Register at the Member Welcome Center.
Your name will be placed in a drawing for a fitness basket.
Enter your daily miles on the challenge board in the wellness center.

Let’s Stomp the Competition and be the best in the state!
Our local Chevy Dealers are hosting a free instructional baseball and softball clinic. The clinic is open to both boys and girls of all skill levels ages 5-14 (special needs participants of all ages). The kids will rotate through stations learning and enhancing fundamental skills by experienced players from around the world!
Please note if you are unable to get your participant(s) thereby the start time of the clinic, we accept late check-ins! Please do not let that hinder your child from participating in this experience!

Complete the registration form and download the waiver. In addition to registering before the event, participants are required to bring a signed waiver to the registration table on the day of the clinic.
