Welcome to the Salina Family YMCA Youth Sports. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for every player to participate, develop skills, build healthy lifestyles through teamwork, have a fun and educational experience, and also build healthy relationships with coaches and fellow players. These ingredients are the foundations of our program and it is our choice to adopt a philosophy that does not include "winning at all costs." A wide variety of youth sports are offered throughout the year. There are no tryouts in our non-competitive sports programs, ensuring that "Every Child Plays, Every Child Wins" is our philosophy. And we emphasize the development of character:
Caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Fill your child's free hours with safe, fun activities around caring adults at the YMCA. Children/Youth are placed on teams according to school or surrounding areas.

The success of our YMCA Sports Program depends on Parent Volunteers. All Parents need to volunteer in some way to help the success of their child’s team. Please consider Coaching/Assistant Coaching for your child’s team. Also please apply to be a Coach/Assistant Coach during the early bird registration and request your practice day/time.
Advantages of being a Volunteer Coach:
• Guarantee your child has you for a coach for the season
• Direct contact with YMCA staff to make this a fun and positive experience
If unable to coach please consider:
• Be a team manager
• Organize snack rotation for game days
• Helping with skills and drills
• Help supervise kids during practices and games
The Y is a volunteer-led, community-owned, 501c3 nonprofit organization, and any income is reinvested to meet local needs.
