The Salina Family YMCA welcomes volunteers. Volunteers are the "heart" of the YMCA. Whether it's offering hugs in the nursery, homework help in the classroom, or guiding students with disabilities into the pool for the first time . . . there's just no way to put a price tag on the sense of fulfillment that comes from helping someone else. Volunteers are an integral part of all the services of the Salina Family YMCA. If you would like to be a member of the volunteer and staff partnership, we have a place for you on our team!
The Salina Family YMCA is a volunteer-led, nonprofit agency with a Board of Directors and various committees.

YMCA volunteers work in various youth and family programs. In child care. As coaches or swimming instructors. And even though they're not paid in dollars and cents, they do get compensated - with the satisfaction that comes from knowing they're making a difference! Whether you're a teenager, mother, grandparent or corporate executive, we want you! All it takes is just a little time to make a difference in someone's life.
Thank you for considering the YMCA as a place to donate your time and talents. We do ask volunteers to fill out an application to help us begin to make the right match between your skills and interests and the opportunities available. For continued safety and assurance for everyone involved with the Y, a background check will be conducted.
Training provided by Salina Family YMCA staff. Candidates must demonstrate the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all they do. Compensation package includes smiles, learning, growth, fulfillment and belonging to a fantastic organization!
