ANGIE LASSLEY
President/CEO

Angie was born and raised in Salina and began her YMCA career here in 1987. In addition to working in Salina, Angie has worked for the Y in Wichita, KS, Indianapolis, IN and Lexington, KY for a total of 30 years to date. She has held a variety of roles from sports official to Executive Director and has been in her current role as President & CEO since October 2013. She and her family returned back to Salina in the summer of 2012. Angie is a graduate of Salina Central and received dual Bachelor degrees from Southwestern College in Business Quality Management and HR Management.

DIANNE SCHULZ

Dianne started her career at the Salina Family YMCA in August 2013. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Kansas Wesleyan University.

VIRGINIA SPOONER
Business Manager

Virginia has worked for the Salina Family YMCA since April 1, 1990. She started at the Member Services Desk, then became the Membership Secretary, and is currently the Administrative Assistant and Business Manager.

JALEAH MORGAN
Accountant

Jaleah has been at the Salina Family YMCA since July 2007. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Kansas Wesleyan University. After college she moved to the Kansas City area where she worked for a Big 10 accounting firm. Professional experience includes mutual fund accounting and retirement plan administration and compliance. Jaleah returned to Salina in 2005.

ELLEN HOGELAND

Ellen Hogeland has been at the Salina Family YMCA since 1997, beginning as the Health & Wellness Director. She has her Masters in Exercise Physiology from Colorado State University and her Bachelors from Kansas State University. Ellen is involved in the Live Well Saline County Coalition and looks forward to greeting the members every day.

TANYA SHOW

Starting in 2009, she spent three years as a Youth Sports Coordinator, Y’s Kids After School Director, Camp Swat Lead Counselor and a Zumba Instructor. Before working for the Y, she worked at Robinson Fitness Center in Fort Riley, KS as a Fitness Assistant and at Child Youth Services/MWR in Fort Irwin, CA as a Lead Teacher in the After School Program.  In 2012, she left the Y to enhance her graphic design skills and to explore other job opportunities. Prior to starting her role as Marketing Coordinator at the Y in 2016, she spent 3 years as a lead graphic designer at Pronto Print.

Tami started her career at the Salina Family YMCA in August, 1987. In addition to working in Salina, she also worked at the Enid Family YMCA for three years. Tami is a Water Safety Instructor with over 35 years of experience teaching swimming lessons, holds certifications as a Lifeguard Training Instructor, Aquatic Fitness Instructor, and Certified Pool Operator.

Michelle started her career at the Salina Family YMCA in July 2007 as an assistant in the Penguin Classroom. Michelle has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development that she received from Cloud County Community College.

 

MARTI HIGDON
SCHOOL AGE Coordinator

Marti started working for the YMCA in February 2018.  Salina is her hometown and graduated from Salina South High.  She has her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University.  Before coming to the Y Marti taught elementary school for 6 years, was a Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry Director, and most importantly a wife and mother.  Marti is also currently the Athletic Director for The Arc of Saline Co.  She has a heart for working with those with Special Needs. 

 

MARIE GRANT

Marie started her Salina YMCA career in 2010 in the Kids Gym department. Now she supervises the Kids Gym, youth and family programs, and coordinates parties and rentals. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Peru State College.

AMANDA WEISHAAR

Amanda was born in West Germany, in a country that no longer exists, grew up in the military and served 7 years in the British Royal Navy. Amanda moved to the U.S. in 2006 and has worked for the Salina Family YMCA since 2012. Amanda is working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership.

BEV JONES
Gymnastics Coordinator

Bev has been with the Salina Family YMCA since 2001. She has over 22 years of experience coaching gymnastics and is a Pro-Member and safety certified with AAU and USA Gymnastics and is the head coach of the Salina YMCA GemStars. She has had the privilege to train state and national champions. Bev graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health and minored in Dance.
