When we come together with a common goal and purpose, amazing things can happen.
A LIFE MAY BE SAVED when three hundred second graders from local elementary schools learn the basic water lifesaving skills in the Splash Water Safety Program.
A NEW FRIEND IS MADE when a child has the opportunity to learn to meet other children while learning new skills such as horseback riding, archery, canoeing, craft making and more while surrounded by nature at YMCA Camp Wood resident camp. Many children that participate through our outreach program have never been to camp, learned camp songs or had the opportunity to be a part of something so awesome.
A CHILD THAT MAY BE HUNGRY IS FED through the partnership with St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church to feed the participants in our after-school programs. Our goal is to reduce the number of children in Salina that go to bed hungry by providing this service and expanding our reach in the summer to our campers and local children.
HEALTHY HABITS begin when an individual, who after years of being overweight and or in pain, participates in Y programs serving those with chronic illnesses. The Y’s Diabetes Prevention Program and Enhance arthritis programs continue to grow and expand.
Some would call us a gym. We are so much more! We have a mission of service. Be a part of our family to make a difference in the lives of thousands of youth and families in our community.
All kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve, under the guidance of caring adults who believe in their potential. We see every interaction with young people as an opportunity for learning and development—all grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Having a place to go after school will make you a better student. Having an outlet to express yourself will make you a better artist. Having something to do together will make you a better family. At the Y we are helping to build better friends, listeners, swimmers, writers, scientists, musicians one chance at a time. Give the gift of opportunity. Give today!
The Salina Family YMCA is a 501 C (3) charitable organization dedicated to the development of individuals in spirit, mind, and body. As a charitable organization, the Salina Family YMCA was founded and continues to be governed by volunteers. Throughout our history, it has been the generous contribution of volunteer time, treasure and talent that has allowed the Salina Family YMCA to grow and flourish as it does today. The Annual Campaign offered by the Salina Family YMCA has been made possible through the generous donations of many individuals and businesses. The annual Campaign provides needed funding to support financially assisted memberships, campership, and child care services. Many of our members contribute to the YMCA on an annual basis. These funds allow the YMCA to continue to provide an ongoing opportunity for all members of our community to personally develop in spirit, mind, and body.

Meet Marion. Marion battled and survived cancer three times and came to the Y for water therapy and to regain his strength. He is finding his strength and also found friends.
Meet David, Hannah, and Hunter. Three siblings ages 10 & 12 including one set of twins. Due to a difficult family situation, these siblings live in different homes and go to different schools. This past summer, the Y was able to bring them together and send them to Camp Wood so they could enjoy the experience together as a family.
From safe spaces to academic achievement to family well-being and more, when you donate to the Y, you’re giving those in need the opportunity to thrive. As you know, at the Y, lives are changed every day. Your gift helps give kids, teens, and adults – of all ages and backgrounds a better chance to reach their full potential.
The Y. For a better Us.
