Next WATERPARK LIFEGUARD TRAINING CLASS
Ever
wanted to learn the skills to save a life? With our
YMCA and American Red Cross lifeguard certification
courses you can do just that. Participants will learn lifeguarding skills, how to perform CPR on an adult,
child and infant, how to use an AED, and necessary
first-aid skills.
The
Salina Family YMCA Aquatic Department offers ARC
(American Red Cross) Water Park Lifeguard training
classes and YMCA Lifeguard training classes. These
classes include CPR for the professional rescuer, AED
(Automated External Defibrillator), 1st Aid, and 02.
Lifeguarding will help you develop skills and experience that will be valued by colleges and future employers. It is a great way to demonstrate what you can offer. Colleges and employers look for applicants who can deal effectively with people, who have a take charge attitude, and who are willing to work to develop new skills.
This is a 36-hour course. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM,
THIS IS NOT A SWIM LESSON.
Cost varies according to YMCA
membership on non-member. For questions, contact
Connie Bachofer,
the Aquatic Director or call 785.825.2151.
